"Cape Royal" 24-inch Mandala
In my late teens and early twenties, I spent my summers in Arizona, working near the north rim of the Grand Canyon. These seasons were some of the happiest in my life and I wanted to paint a mandala representative of my time there. The colors in this piece were specifically selected to match the look and feel of sunset at Cape Royal - my favorite lookout point on the north rim of the Grand Canyon.
This handcrafted, 24-inch mandala was painted on 1/2-inch thick MDF board with high quality acrylic paint. It is sealed with a protective gloss varnish and two sawtooth hangers are attached to the back for easy wall mounting.
